Kate is a cooking instructor living in the artsy Rivertowns of Westchester, 20 miles north of New York City . She provides a relaxed, hands-on cooking experience for children - pre-schoolers to teenagers - and adults.

In her youth classes, kids explore textures and flavors, tasting and touching raw ingredients, manipulating familiar ingredients to become whole, nutritious food. Students learn knife skills, cooking techniques and proper utensil usage, kitchen math and culinary terminology.

Kate has spent the past several years developing cooking curricula for public schools and can help integrate cooking into your homeschool or after-school program.

Kate is also an avid cake enthusiast, a board member of the Irvington Farmer’s Market and co-founder of Rivertown Public Market.
